Prescriptions and Refills

Prescriptions and refills are issued during our office hours. Please check your medication and plan accordingly. During non-office hours physicians will not routinely write a prescription.

Urology Health Specialists, LLC utilizes electronic prescriptions which means your medication orders are directly transmitted to your pharmacy’s computer as soon as they are prescribed from our facility.

Some of the important benefits of ePrescribing are:

• instant checks on drug interactions, dosage levels and patient-specific factors including prior adverse reactions;
• patient information protected by privacy and security measures including prescriber authentication.

Your medication refill requests also arrive at our office electronically. Refill requests are easily authorized through our electronic medical records system in a timely fashion.

All medications prescribed from our office are also checked against your current list of medications that you have provided to us for potential interactions and adverse reactions.

In order to fill your prescription electronically, please provide us with the name and the phone number of your pharmacy.

Urology Health Specialists, LLC takes the security of your personal and medical information extremely seriously. Maintaining your medical records electronically means your information cannot be easily stolen as is the case with paper charts.
